Darling Downs chases wins after first-up draws

DARLING Downs needs to start strong against Wide Bay Friday to stay in the hunt for the Queensland School Sport Under-18 Rugby Union Championship at Downlands College.
The Downs boys played out two hard-fought draws against Met-West (12-12) and Peninsula (10-10) Thursday to be ranked third in their pool.
The home side started strong in both matches before letting their opposition claw back into the contest.
Darling Downs led 5-0 in the first half against Peninsula before letting in a try after the halftime siren.
